  • Corban Jed Potter
  • Eight years ago, before his second birthday, Corban was diagnosed with a Neuroblastoma tumor. He underwent chemotherapy and surgery, has been cancer free since then Today is his tenth birthday and he is in perfect health. He competes in GNCC dirt bike racing and BMX racing doing well in both venues. He has operated the Bobcat loader since he was six years old and he drove the Gator at four years old. He is fast becoming a hands on mechanic and he also is learning fo be a welder. We will always remember the support he got from the "Tractor Buddies" on this site. He is Poppas buddy and always doing something to bring a smile. He says Hello to all his old tractor buddies.

  • This is wonderful news. I wish him all the luck in the world and am glad to hear of a young person that is interested in working with their hands.

  • That is great, Sam! Sounds like Corban has a zest to be active. I'm always delighted to hear of young people surviving serious illnesses and grabbing at life.
Our youngest son was hospitalized at 3 months old for several weeks and we almost lost him to understaffing. My wife stayed at the hospital until we could bring him home. He is now 49, 5th degree Tae Kwon Do and has run marathons and mountain bikes. Married and 2 beautiful daughters 21 and 16.
A year later our oldest son at 5 years old, became very ill and was in the hospital with temperatures hovering around 107. Several weeks lapsed before they could identify the virus. He went to the US Marine Corps out of high school, stayed 13 years and came home with his family. He is now 53 with two sons 26 and 24.
It is interesting how children are influenced by things that they do not understand. Our daughter, now 51, wanted to know when it was her turn. We were dumbstruck.
