  • running board paint coverings
  • Re doing my 48 8N and while painting various items I wondered how it would look with the running boards painted with the stuff they do truck beds with. Anyone ever done this or have seen it done ?

  • At my age that sounds like an excellent idea! I have some brush on in the shop I think I'll use on my 2110 mowing tractor!

  • Go for it. You can get the adhesive sandpaper like material just about anywhere that sells automotive supplies. Slipping on a running board from ice, rain, or snow is a definite ow-ey! I have used plain old sand on my working 8N. Take a handful of sand and sprinkle it over the running board then spray some paint over it and let dry, and you have a cheap, quick, farmerized version! It will wear off eventually.

  • My idea was spraying them with herculiner ( or similar) and seeing how it looks. But If I didnt like it just spray it with red and leave the antiskid in place. Mine are worn down badly and I see a slip in the future. Just thinking and picking ya'lls minds for any thoughts !

  • Your tractor, your choice. A friend had an older truck and did the entire body with spray bedliner.
