  • Getting Back To Work - Working Fields
  • We spent the weekend working the fields in prep to plant next week. Here's my front lawn/field and chopping last years' cornstalk stubble on Saturday and then dicing on Sunday. Sorry for the green & yeller -it should be red and grey! Making America Grow Great Again!!!

  • Hi Tim,
I read this post the other day, and since then heard about your Governor's decree that you could go fishing as long as you don't use a motor. With that in mind, shouldn't you be using a team of horses rather than a Green tractor?
    Hang in there everybody.

  • One of my favorite bands is the group known as 'Da Yoopers' (2nd week of Deer Camp) from Ishpeming, Michigan. They have their own 'tourist trap' aptly named with gifts and stuff inside and lots of cool things outside. One is Eddie The Wood Burner shown here:

  • We'll be selling at the Farmers Market this weekend.

    Pre-order, pre-pay.

This ain't farming. I'm spending waaaay too much time dealing with computer issues.

  • I saw a nice old 5000 chopping stalks in about an 80 acre field on Saturday.
    I'm getting the itch here.
Will turn my plots over and replant this year. I also plow and disc the gardens for a couple of my cousins and my brother wants a new 1 acre plot so will be turning some sod this year.
I need to get some work done on my tractor. Have a significant leak at the hydraulic pump, the brakes need adjusted and the clutch adjusted too.

  • It doesn't matter the brand, I grew up on a small farm in W.va and plowed behind old Fred, a neighbors horse (we couldn"t afford one). So I'm always glad to see farm fields being worked. I now live in Southern New Jersey surrounded by farm land (the garden state). There is a large farm about 5 miles from me that works several hundred acres with at least a dozen old Ford tractors from 8n's, naa's and hundred series Fords, he keeps them all in great shape. They are all painted nice and in the winter months he sometimes parks them in a row down along a barn,if you use your imagination when you drive by it's like time has reversed about 60+ years.God Bless, Beth and Allen.

  • It's so wet here, You almost need a boat to work the land.
I just came back in from checking my game cameras.
    There is water setting everywhere.
They are forecasting rain for all week.
