  • Hydraulic rebuild. 9N
  • My 9N shakes a lot and leaks down quickly. I have seen rebuild kits for lots of $ and others that are 1/2 to 1/3 of that. Is there a big difference between product from yesterday or an other seemingly honest supply house?

I am reluctant to buy from eBay as I donít know enough to evaluate the item.

What did you use and were you happy with it?

    Thanks
    Zeke

  • Shaking/fast drop are sure signs of a worn cylinder and system. Get your manuals out and understand how the top cover is removed 9N's are different than 8N's. The leak down test will confirm but your evidence already leans too the problem. Don't know who you are looking at for parts, most of us buy from DENNIS CARPENTER or JUST8N's for reliable parts and decent prices. You'll need a new cylinder, piston with O-Ring type, safety valve, and gasket kit. You can do the work yourself just follow instructions. Get DIY articles and more in our HOW-TO's. Get the self-help video from J&M Productions - see LINK. Watch and read all of these before you grab a wrench. there are right ways and wrong ways to do the job.

  • Thanks, Tim!

I have all the reading materials and have ordered the video. I have done business with Just8ns before and have always had great experience with him. The How Toís are excellent here. Thanks to you and all the folks.
