  • Whats the best place to find the screen/filter that goes on top of a 9N sediment bowl?
Don't want to replace the whole thing, just find the screen for it, as it is missing.

  • HiYa Sam-
Do you have the original brass Sediment Bulb Assembly? If so that would use the screen with a round hole centrally located and you won't find anyone who makes/sells them new nowadays. You can buy a piece of screen and make your own or take one of the new ones sold today with the offset square hole and punch your own hole in the center. The extra hole; won't hurt anything. The screens are sold by most every parts supplier, even your local TSC has them. I buy from Just8Ns and/or Dennis Carpenter and add a few to my grocery list when I order other parts to save on shipping.

  • A replacement screen for the brass petcock fuel valve that fits properly is available from Steiner. It is part ABC229 found under John Deer or IH/Farmall sections. (page 324 in the 2019 catalogue) These fit without modification, I have one in mine.

  • Are you talking about the flat screen between the bowl and shutoff housing, or the tube screen around the pipe that goes into the fuel tank? The screen above the bowl can be purchased separately, usually along with a gasket, but the screen around the tube is part of the shutoff assembly and cannot be purchased separately. For the tube screen you would need to fabricate something yourself and solder it to the housing.
