  • I'm having problem with keeping the tractor running once you put it into gear. It idles fine runs up on rpms fine but dies after 2 or 3 min running in gear and then wont restart any ideas. New carb ,vent hole in gas cap, removed in line fuel filter.

  • are you sure its a fuel problem and not an ignition issue ? maybe a coil but check for spark at the plugs before replacing the coil I had a set of points giving me a head ache Cleaned points ran a while and quit. replace points condenser cap and rotar and plugs fixed the problem

  • Carb rebuild is generally after the full tune and it's not correct. Rebuilding a carb with screwy electric is a great waste of money fixing something that is not broken.
Generally it ranks right up with a bigger carb on the engine will automatically make it go faster while ignoring the camshaft, valves and whatnot. Carb is usually after everything else has been addressed.
    Just sayin'

  • I would suggest Just8Ns in N.C. (In the
Links list). They rebuilt one for me and itís been perfect for 10 yrs.
