  • There is a 2 bottom Dearborn plow at a nearby auction house. It doesn't have any coulters on it. Is this a basic plow that came without them or have they been removed? If I'm over that way I'll try to get the model number off of it. Thanks !

As I stated, no Dearborn/FORD plow, at least up until the Thousand Series tractors ever came with coulters from the factory. Coulters, jointers, coverboards, moldboards, extensions, and weed hooks were always optional accessories that the dealer supplied, and could install if the buyer requested. You didn't need coulters to plow with. many farmers would remove them as well. Look in the A&O Manuals and it specifies "optional equipment".

  • NO, coulters and jointers were never standard equipment on the Ford/Dearborn plows. They were always optional extra accessories. Ditto for moldboard coverboards, moldboard extensions, and weed hooks. I am selling a slew of OEM coulters -see my AD in ADS Forum.
