  • Well, after 15 years of minimal seepage since the restoration I've got the full leakdown on my '48 8N's rim.

    I guess it's time to go back in.

  • Definitly leaking. Until you can fix it, degrease that mess and lower the amount of Hydraulic fluid in the diffy. Pull the bottom bolt of the right side inspection cover The cover contains hydraulic dip stick. This should minmize the leak until you can buy the parts and fix it properly.

  • as John said & will add that if overfilled, even new seals (as they are) won't stop leak. That rubber or cork band just isn't much of a seal.
