  • Ok now that i have learned something about coolant what about oil in a 1946 N.
Should i go with a straight weight or multi viscosity for southeastern wisconsin weather.
when i was reading through different post in the forums i saw it suggested rotella 15/40 was good but have also been told to stick with a straight weight.would prefer input from people who actually own these type of equipment.
    Thank you for your input.

  • Your choice. I have never used a multi-viscosity oil in my tracors, ever. I use 30W in the summer and 20w in the winter, maybe.
    My tractors are stored inside.

  • Unless you want bearing scuff on start up in those cold winters, you best use multi-vis oil.

    See tip # 6.

15w-40 Rotella should work fine for you.
