  • I bought a 1949 8N about 2 months ago. It is in great shape but needed brakes and bearings. I can not find any place that gives the torque for axel nut and lug nuts. Can any one help me with this problem?
    Thanks

  • Gene, the best tools you need to invest in are the ESSENTIAL MANUALS for your 8N. The OEM Owner/Operator's Manual and the CLYMER/I&T FO-4 Manual cover virtually everything you need to know on Maintenance & Repairs for your N.

  • Rear axle nut 450 lb-ft. Get a 3' cheater bar and put all your weight on the end is close enough. If you weigh over 200lb choke up to 2' on the bar.

    Lug nuts - 70-80 lb-ft
