Zerk fitting for steering lube
Hello, I recall reading about a zerk fitting attached to the screw so I can easily grease the steering box. Where can I get one of these? Are they easy to make? What size screw should I use if I buy already made?

Re: Zerk fitting for steering lube
You can make one with a 7/16 hex head bolt, grade 2, a 3/16 drill bit for the thru hole, and a 1/4 tap and accompanying bit set to tap the zerk threads into the bolt head. Bolt lenght seems to be somethinh less than 2".. perhaps 1 3/4.. can't remember.. knowing ford it's some oem specialy sized/specified inbetween size like 1 23/64's.. etc.. Soundguy

Re: Zerk fitting for steering lube
Take the plug out of the filler hole, and take a grease zerk with you to a place you can buy plumbing parts, and get a bushing fitting to bush the filler hole down to the grease zerk. I did this for my 8N and the cost was less than a dollar. Pooh Bear
