I recently acquired a '42 9n and am cleaning it up and repainting it. It is painted blue with gray, but as I clean the old paint off, I am finding red underneath. Is red the stock color for the engine, trans, etc for a 1942 9n.?

1942 makes your tractor a 2n, virtually identical to a 9n. The original color for 9n/2ns is all dark gray. Red didnt come along until the 8n came out in 1947. Heres my 1946 2n.
