  • Some observations that interested me:
    1. If you click on the 1940-1949 reports, the first report listed in 1940 is for the 9N. But the same test number is listed just below that for the 2N, also in 1940. How do you test a 2N in 1940 when it wasn't offered for sale until 2 years later? OK, so maybe the Nebraska Test people went back after the fact and listed both models under the same test since they were really the same tractor.

    2. I looked for another Ford test in 1942 and discovered there are NO tests listed for any make for the years 1942-1945. There is only one test in 1946, then a bunch of tests starting in 1947. Either there is a big information gap, or there were no tests done during the war.

    3. Most of the time, there is only one tractor model listed to a test number. But in 1959 I noticed that many different Ford models are lumped under one test number. Was that common to have a manufacturer ship a half-dozen models to be tested all at once and all be assigned the same test number?
