  • Just to muddy the water again on the great hub debate....HEHEHE...I am actually enjoying it. I got out to my '41 today. The left side hub is clearly cast with 9N-1106 and no suffix. And this is the first one I have seen with zerk fitting on them! There is a boss cast for the zerk so it was meant to be there. The right side has no part number, but is identical to the left, zerk fitting and all. I have no reason to beleive that these hubs are not original, as I can scrape away all the same layers of paint on them as on the tractor. Here's a couple of pics.

So what do you think? Sorry about the first pic size, tried three times to shrink it in Photo bucket, no go.

  • Stumpy......like Randy said...all 9n-2n hubs are 1106.The 1104 part number is for the hub assy. which icludes the hub and bearing races, and 1104 is the part number in the parts books that we call hubs.Several parts for the tractors are made of sub-assemblies.EACH sub-assembly has it's own part number, after putting sub-assemblies together, the assembled part is given a diff part number, which is the part number you would find in the parts books. don b

  • Stumpy, I've got a pile of these different styles. My plans are to take all of these down to my local machine shop and hang them in his washing machine. My machine shop guy just loves me doing this....Kelly.
