  • Dearborn 10-14 Plow Wrench
  • Here's a picture of the plow wrench that came with the Dearborn 10-14 2-Way Plow. The MPC shows no part number, which is unusual for Ford. It was held onto the plow with a 1/2-13 wing nut and stud on the plow T-frame through the hole on the head of tool. The open end size is 1-1/2" and the handle tapered down to a wedge point for plow adjustments.

  • UPDATE
  • Upon further review I found a Dealers Master Price Book for all Dearborn Implements dated November 1, 1948 and it has a part number for the wrench. The part number is 103903. I also dug out my MPB for Plows dated February 1949 and it also has the part number. All my MPBs after that do not list the part number. I wrote an article for the National Ford Tool Collectors newsletter called the FORD TOOL TIMES on this tool so look for it in a forthcoming issue.

  • here's a better pic of the tool. Open end head is 1-1/2-slightly angled, with 1/2 hole for mounting to plow, overall length 13-3/4" with handle tapered to a wedge.

  • Want to sell that wrench?
George Bradish was kind enough to send me a tracing of one but I haven't gotten around to making one yet.

  • Hey Dogman-
If I had two I'd send you one. I looked forever to find the one I have. Because it doesn't have a Ford part number nor any logo or markings at all, most collectors don't know what they have or what to look for so they pass them by at yard sales, flea markets, etc. I happened on mine that way. At a tractor show a vendor had a wagon of stuff and it was in with two other 'antique wrenches' which he had no idea what they were for. I played dumb so he let me have them for 5 bucks for the lot. As I said, most 10-14 plows I see for sale are missing this tool. HHHMMM -I wonder if should start making these...CNC mill them out you know.

  • Hi, guys.

I have an AutoCAD drawing of the wrench for the 10-14. You can take it to any steel service center that has a plasma or water-jet cutter, and they can cut the outline of one for you. (You'll still have to thin down the non-wrench end). Let me know if you want. I'll send the drawing file to you, no charge. Us 10-14 fans gotta stick together!

I'm hoping to have a drawing file for the trip bars soon, too, and when I get that, will be making some bars and wrenches here in Spokane (WA).

    Regards, Chuck

  • I got a 10-14 2-way plow I'm still trying to get to work. I have only pics of the trip arms brackets to that surround the PTO. How/where is the wrench used? I could use drawings if still available.
