  • What model is it?
  • I recently added my NAA to the registry and called it a 1952 Golden Jubilee. It is S/N NAA00477. According to the manufacturing dates that means it was produced in 1952. When I got it there was an old looking hood emblem on it that said Golden Jubilee. I have no idea if it was original. I replaced it with a new one that also says Golden Jubilee. Is my tractor a Golden Jubilee or just an NAA?

  • Charlie, it's what Gaspump said. The NAA series followed the 8N and were designated as 1953 and 1954 model years. Only the '53 is called the Jubilee because 1953 was Ford's 50th year in business. It was the first year that Ford moved to the OHV engine. Like is done with cars, early 1953 model Jubiliees were manufactured in late '52, but their model year is still considered 1953.

We've got a very rare and very detailed sales brochure in our Manuals section here that offers a lot of detailed info on the new Jubilee. Click here to check it out. This brochure was sent to Ford tractor dealers in late 1952 when the Jube first became available.

  • Actually you have a 1953 Golden Jubilee NAA built in 1952, no 1952 model year Jubs were built, they were introduced in late 1952 as 1953 models.

  • If that is true and I think it is, should we move all of the 52 Jubs in the registry to 53?

  • Ran my head into that brick wall a couple years ago, Charlie. The wall didn't move. I think the first 8N's are 1948's and all Jubilees are 1953. But if someone wants to call their's a 1947 or 1952, it does indicate the date of manufacture and, more importantly, it's their tractor. I just think that if they bought a brand new model car or truck last fall, when they go to sell it, they have to call it a 2005.
