is there any way to determine what dealer sold a tractor, what state it was sold in and possibly who the original purchaser was by use of the serial number? were records like this kept? thanks in advance. ( i have a '54 NAA serial # NAA104746<>)

thanks for the replys, i was assuming it would be something like that, but curiosity made me ask. i got my tractor from my grand uncle who i know did not buy it new, he was at least the second owner so i was just wondering if i could track more of its history. Thanks guys

When a NAA tractor was sold the dealer filled out a predelivery/registration form, the owner got one copy, the dealer kept one copy and sent the rest to the distributor who would have sent a copy to Ford but I believe Fords records for them got destroyed in a building fire. If you have an old dealer near you maybe they kept their registration or invoice records and can find they sold your serial# new.
