  • Original 2N lift arms?
  • When I bought my 2N it had been used as a side-mount mowing machine for many years and most of the original 3-pt hitch hardware had been stripped off and thrown away. The tractor DID come with a set of old-looking horizontal lift arms. I say "old" beacuse they are worn and banged up and welded on.

I have found a local guy whose father once ran 5 8N's and 9N's mowing township roads under contract. He took one look at the lift arms and said "those are not Ford".

Can anybody please post a picture or give me a description of genuine Ford 2N arms - length, number of hangar holes, etc.? Thanks.

  • Thank you!!
  • The pictures that you posted are exactly what I was looking for! I have been looking at every 9N, 2N and redbelly that I could find and I had pretty much figured out first, that my 2N has non-Ford lift arms, and, second, what the real arms ought to look like. Your pictures sort have clinched the deal. I bought a set of original arms off E-Bay and they are on their way from Texas.

    Thanks!
