  • Though I would post a pic of the early style top link. There isn't much to say about it except it has two bolt holes.

  • Kelly: Thanks for the pic. I bought one of these on E-Bay to put on my '39 9N4394 when I get it all restored. The problem is that the one I bought is too shot to ever use it for any real work. The ball on one end is way loose and I would not trust it for much. Is there any way to tighten one of these up?

  • Heres the set of arms I tightened up for my 2m. Cut about 1/8" out, angle ground, heated and closed the gap, welded back in and ground to orginal profile. They are much better now and not real noticible. I doubt anyone would notice unless I told them. They are not exactly round anymore on the outside

  • Bob, yes there is. You can cut these and reweld if they are not too bad. Or you can replace with a new end. Either way they will look O.K.
