  • I have about an acre of pasture tilled up I would like to plant some millet or sorgum or whatever I can plant that would replant its self and would be good for pheasents and wildlife any ideas I live in mn I might even be interested in buying seed if any available

  • I've planted some of the typical food plot mixes you buy at Tractor supply with limited success. I turned over a 1/2 acre garden that I usually plant corn and taters into alfalfa. Can't keep the deer out of there.

  • Don't know about mn, but the wild bird seed that I buy at the tractor supply here in Va grows like crazy. The seed that I put on the ground or that falls out of the bird feeders sprouts and grows and makes more seeds. This is just a thought, but you could experiment with a 35# bag for $7.99. I have never seen a variety of seed sprout any better. I hope some others who plant deer plots will chime in, but for birds the cheap TS seed works great.

  • Hank,,have you checked a independant farm supply around where your at for this info? These places have a wealth of info to share.Seeds and such also.
