  • It's been a while since i've been around, thought I would see what you guys were up to. I have not messed with tractors in a long while, in fact I think the Ol Hokie's last shipment of parts from 5 years ago are still sitting in a box since my 44 doesn't have enough compression to run.

I have been working on a couple of cars for a few years but no real progress. Kasey is in in college up in Laramie so I don't see her much and she was my right hand girl. We have not touched he 63 Fairlane in several years after buying a 68 Torino GT for her to drive to High School. Long story short on that one is it made it there once and the FMX transmission went out. Dad went into scope creep with that project too. We now have a 427 Dart ready to go in the Torino backed by a 5 speed but the old Ford is on a rotisserie under the knife,

So not much changes between Ford's wether it be a 44, 48, 63, or a 68 Tractor or Car :-)

Hope all is well with you guys, was just thinking about some of you.

    Joe

  • HiYa Joe- it's good to hear from you too. Our hobbies/projects demand so much out of us: time, money, time et al and the return on our investments can only be measured in satisfaction of doing it ourselves and watching others appreciate our handiwork. My grandfathers' early 1939 9N I inherited still sets in the barn waiting for financial backing for me to proceed to the next level. I have all the original early 9N parts it was missing, all the time in the world now that I'm semi-retired, but living on a limited income as well. When i was working full time, I had the $$$ but very little time. Now I have all the time I need but very little $$$. I, too, have a daughter in college with another to follow next year and we all know how much that costs, but family comes first. Be well, old friend...

  • That is your story and you are sticking to it. I do see the tractor in the background.
