  • Need to go-a-fishin' . . .
  • Just finished round three of Chemo on Friday. The body seems to be bouncing back faster each time. Either that or I am getting use to feeling this is normal. Supposedly another round starts on March 13. That is followed by another picture and see what it shows. The LPN was not too happy when I said "Another Cat scan with a dye test". She said that making me glow at night was not the intention and didn't desire to kill me with a cure. I said if was glowing enough, then I would not need a flash light at night....
I need to grab the kid and go see about a salmon fishing trip. Just getting bobbed in the ocean is not a great thought right now. Another week and I should be up to decent speed to get some of the projects around here cleaned up. And the snow is coming down. . . Ya' gotta be kidding me. Weather liar said it was going to be a rain/snow mix and I guess 1200 feet is the snowy part. Days like this make me think about being a flat-lander. Then again, that might get me into having them nay-burr things and that can be more trouble than it's worth. Think I might stay on top of the rock pile and not see any nay-burrs. Tomorrow is coming and the snow should go and life goes on. Some folks got themselves real good nay-burrs. Given the opportunity, why chance it?

  • Fella,,with your "humor" being a constant part of you makes one think taking chemo should be a cure for "grouchy old men".Keep on keepin on fella.A fellow Sunday School member just had (2 weeks past)a brain tumor removed and is doing well but seems to be having trouble remembering.Well,,that might be a nice thing.

  • I just had a CT scan with the glow in the dark stuff.
Then I tried to get a job as a light house, but they told me I am too short.
Do you have the chemo fingers and toes? (constant tingling like they are ice cold)
    That is a real butch.

  • Foot neuropathy is not fun but Iíve learned to deal with it. I occasionally have minor balance issues and standing for any length of time causes a burning feeling.
My finger tips are not as sensitive to touch and my hands get cold more easily.
Like a friend said to me: to treat cancer you have to take poison.
I can still do most things that I did before my diagnosis and treatment, I just go a little slower and try to think further ahead. A bit like old age. Dang, I am older!

  • I got Chemo brain and the shakes. The brain is not so bad this time around as spell check is not catching every third word. The shakes started about 4 days ago and go away with controlled deep breathing. I like the feeling that my teeth are suffering with dry sockets and the vertebrae in my neck pop every time I move too much.
That Chemo junk is cleaning out a bit much in my estimate.
