  • Del Huebner // Shock absorber source??
  • Just wondering if you have a source for the Knoedler seat shock?
Another item added to my list. Got to looking at mine and found the double seat hinge has been farmerized along the way. Just adding it also to the list. Hope by the time this is done it will have been worth the effort.

  • Can not give you a direct answer to your question. All I can say, the shock absorber is still available. If my memory is correct, it is only about 8 or 9" long. The manufacture was Monroe on the seat I had. Check with your local auto parts store.
Hope this helps in some way.

  • No I don't Bruce. I was fortunate that I had two Knoedler seats and one of them had a good shock so I didn't need a new one. I did need to buy bearings and they are available from Steiner. I am trying to make one seat out of two so will probably have some extra parts if you need them.

  • I thank you for your generous offer. I got to looking at min and found it had a farmerized seat with the hinge missing. I imagine it no longer tilts forward but am not to to install it before I get it working. Froze up real good but the bushings/bearings don't appear to be elongated. I hope this works out to be a decent candidate for repair. As for the bottom seat pan adjustment I am thinking about an elevator bolt threaded into a nut welded to the lower spring. Still kicking around ideas, just unable to get to them as fast as I would like to....
