  • Posted a few weeks ago about this new purchase.
This thing is a best. Cuts my yard in less the 1/2 the time as old mower.
Foot control hydro trans is similar to the Kubota and reverse is twice as fast as old tractor. Power to spare. Turning radius very tight. Nothing bogs it down. Good on gas. Very pleased. Had to let a lot of air out of the tires they were way over air pressure and bounced like a trampoline. Dropped tires down to recommended air pressure and now smooth as glass.
Now I just hope it lasts a good while.

  • That looks like a 54" deck. I'll bet that was nice. My GT 2544 has a 44" deck and even that is nice compared to my old Husqvarna 38". A 54" would make short work of my place. : )

  • About 7 years ago I finally convinced my wife we needed a zero turn to mow our 4 acres of lawn. I wanted a name brand that I knew that I could still get parts for 10, 15 years later if needed. I figured I needed at least a 60" cut. So I went to the local John Deere dealer and told him what I wanted. As we talked about price he says he had a 72" that would really work good for me. When I ask about price it was about $3000 out of my price range, he then told me he could let me have it for a few bucks less than the 60" I was looking at because it was a return with 20 hours on it. When I saw it I knew I couldn't pass it up it he gave me the full factory warranty and threw in a spring ride seat. This thing is built to mow 8 or 10 hours a day week after week but as of right now I only have 400 hours on it I will never wear it out. It mows like nothing I had ever seen before. I'm very glad I was able to get this mower.I was in the right place at the right time. God Bless, Beth and Allen.

  • I bought a JD 797 about 7 years ago. I have planted a lot of trees at my house and
recreation property. I spend two hours a week mowing at each place, a regular mower
would take much longer. My wife has commented several times that it is the best money I ever spent and she does;t even use it.
