  • Moulton Tx show
  • I haven't been to a tractor show since February so I'm gonna go check this one out this Saturday. Anybody on here familiar with it?

  • Walt, some of the guys in my club have gone there before, and though they didn't report it to be a huge show, they indicated that it was an enjoyable event and Moulton isn't that far a drive south of I-10. One thing for sure is that there is a Blue Ribbon rated steak house there in town, but it's been too long ago (near 35 to 40 years) that I was there to recall the name of the restaurant - folks at the show will most definitely know it I'm sure!

Have a good time and by all means, check out the steak house!

  • It just hit me Walt - the place is KLOESEL'S STEAK HOUSE & BAR (believe it's pronounced like "clay-sells"). Anyway, it's one great and good tast'n place to chow down!

  • If you've never been there, take I-10 to Flatonia, exit state Hwy 95 and head south - can't remember how far it is exactly, but the 1st town you come to is Moulton. 95 becomes Lavaca once you enter town and Moore Ave. will be several blocks south and off to the right - think that's kinda-sorta like the main street through town if memory serves me right.

  • I made the show Saturday, about 40 show grade tractors there but more came in Sunday which is the actual tractor show day. I'll know next year, left Sunday morning without going back out, stayed in Schelenberg. Tons of people there for the Jamboree thing with a carnival, ballgame, live bands, and bunches of barbecue cookers. The heat was terrible. I ate at Kloesels Saturday noon and it was real good home style cooking etc.
I really enjoyed the countryside around there, corn harvest was in progress.
