  • Rock Picking
  • Rockpicker show up yesterday with his dump truck, loader and thumb excavator to pick up a few loads of rocks. Less rocks on my property, building another logging road and some money in my pocket. It's a win, win. Probably take 5/6 loads this time. That's no problem cause I grow them as fast as he can take them. Can't stick a shovel in the ground without hitting a rock. even in my 1/2 acre garden that I've been rocking for 7 years still gets a few rocks every year.

  • My first job ever was picking stones on my uncles farm. His father taught me to drive a stick shift on their old 53 Chevy flat bed truck. I was hot stuff. We would drive up and down the plowed felds picking up stones and loading up he flat bed. Then we dumped them in the hedge rows where they were building a wall. I remember being amazed at how many stones came up each year. They just kept coming up to the surface... How convientient for getting free stones to build a wall...
