  • SOLD!!
  • About a '50 Ferguson TO-20 with brush hog, $2600. Still have her Fergy. That one is not going any time soon. Gotta run off to harbor junk to get a bore-scope for the whatever I dropped, or the mouse took, into the intake on the 460 Ford. I was doing a carb swap from Holley to Edelbrock. Can we say bent valve? At least all the plugs came out with un-damaged electrodes.

  • I have "learned" before "action" to ask many, many questions. If all the bloodwork and test are not in then (I would say)nothing is sure and no work is to be done until the facts are verified.Working on a hobby is swell therapy and laughter is good medicene.

  • Yeah...well, Oh! Heres's a "funny". Had a follow up exam a few days ago with the specialist who did the chop job on me. The hospital group that has my insurance declined to chop on me and sent me down the road to the specialist. So a week or two before the follow up, I get a letter report for your cat scam with dye test two hours early. Two days before the exam, the hospital group calls and say's "We will do the cat scan". Long story short, the results never got to the specialist before I did for the visit and it was a great time visiting and nothing was done. The hospital group oncologist said I have a 20% chance of re-occurrence in the next two years. The specialist said, "Fat chance". if it does come back it will be sooner than later and guess who still hasn't gotten my blood test done? Blood indicator will be the first indicator before a cat scan shows anything.
About another 311 days and this youngster will be 60 and retiring. The job has become an annoyance in several ways and no longer worth the trouble. The wife is 6 years older and she has been saying far too long it has been long enough.
The body is still not quite 100% but is at least 85%. Forgetting things in the older age is easy to blame on chemotherapy. A built in excuse.
Current project is a carb swap on an '86 F250 460 from Holley to Edelbrock.
I now have a bore scope to find the rattle behind a valve when I fired the motor up.
Oops. Doing that in the shade is fun. Either first thing in the morning or wait until the sun drops behind he trees in the late afternoon. That should keep me busy for the next few days. Course of action after verification remains to be seen.
That's enough for now, will catch you later.
