  • Stormed here with up to gusts of 80 but sustained winds were a lot less. Lots of limbs down but no trees down on my place that I am aware of. River nearby is at least 7' above normal yet docks are underwater. Small leak in my new roof, power out, lots of storm debris to clean up but all else is well. Big here but bigger on the west side hope folks over there did well. Matthew last Oct did huge damage here so we are thankful we were spared the second big hit.

  • Most folks did here. Some isolated areas are still up and running but I guess at least 75% of businesses in the area were still down this morning. We had a curfew till noon yesterday and still overnight. Few fuel stations open either no fuel or no power. FPL computer calls at least once a day with outage updates, today they promised power will be restored by 9/17. I would expect our area may be sooner as there is minimal damage with some large developments nearby so with a little effort many folks could be up. Two days cleaning up debris so for and 2-3 more should do it. Have to pile it by the road for FEMA pickup. They are short of cash, hope it holds out till they pick mine up!

  • Not high but house floor is 25' above sea level, near the river a couple of miles inland. Latest forecast is for 73mph winds here which is a little less than Mathew last Oct. Been cutting potentially hazardous limbs last two days and if forecast holds should be fine. Worst part is watching things blow and nighttime darkness til it passes and I can get the generator going, then the big job of cleanup. Still have some damaged trees left over from Matthew. Thanks for your thoughts.

  • Same here in Savannah Gaspump. The generator is full of gas and full spare tanks on the ready. Everything picked up in the yard or tied down. Extra food stored and plenty of lights and batteries. We are just hunkering down till it passes....but Monday is going to be bad. Good luck with your outcome...Roby
