  • What do most of you use for backup? I have over 26gb in my documents alone.
Would a 62gb SD card work?

  • I use peel and stick hooks to hang the flash drives on the computer. Works good for me, USB3 is really fast and its free.

Sorry about the picture, my camera finally died so I'm down to using an old Galaxy S4G phone as a camera.

  • I use Carbonite and back up to the Cloud. Automatically backs up a new file or updated file and keeps your cloud folders sync'ed with the ones on your hard drive. Don't need to remember to back up, don't need to worry about your backup drive getting lost or destroyed. Initial backup may take a weekend, depending on your volume and access speed, but after that it works in the background and you don't hardly know it's there until you need it. About $5 a month.

  • I have used external hard drives and thumb/flash drives but also have had issues with them crashing and becoming corrupted thus losing everything on them. I had an external hard drive literally crash to the floor and became useless -everything gone. Maybe a NASA or NCIS scientist could retrieve the hard drives but at what $$$? There are a few places that will do that, but cost can be equal to buying another PC. I'd now consider Carbonite or LifeLock services...

  • I use portable hard drives. For backup 1TB cost $59.99.
Flash drives for transfer of big files.
    SD cards for pictures..
