  • Not much to report
  • Water, sewer and electrical are run to the new house, They still have to install ALL the plumbing in the basement along with hooking the wiring from one side to the other. Sheet rock needs to be done as well.
This is all starting to grow real old, No LOL's at this point "It's December in NY", It was 5 degrees the other morning, Pipes froze in the camper, I was able to thaw them and thank goodness none were broken !
I'm a big fat tough guy and can and will get through this but my poor wife is at the end of her rope, 3 weeks ago she slipped on the camper steps and badly brushed a bunch of ribs.
This sucks- Don't even have our snowmobiles out of storage !!
    Rant off
    enjoy the pics

  • Looking much better then it did a couple weeks ago. Sometimes progress is slow, then you look around one day and say, "what the hell happened, we're done".
Merry Christmas to you and your wife.

  • Looks like some good progress to me. Would love to see all 4 sides. You got steps into the basement? Hang in there, building always takes twice as long as you want it to, but it looks like they are doing a nice job. Feed them coffee and promice to take them deer hunting when they are done, that might speed them up...
Take some pictures of the empty basement because if you are like me, it will never be empty again...

  • If you need a break from that camper for a few days you are welcome to hang out here. Just put a new bed in the quest room and got a fresh pot of chili on the stove. Ran out of bourbon last night though but I can fix that. Ice and snow are all melted and gone.

  • What type of heating in the new house? ....Is that anywhere near being ready?

Progress may be slow, but at least it's FORWARD progress!

    Happy Holidays!

  • At least you're all closed in and weather tight. Always suck to build in the winter. Better days are coming so hang in there Dave.

  • I feel for you Dave #1.
Over here I have three friends building, and trying to get in before it gets too cold. But cold here is 30F. Only one will be warm for Christmas. That is my immediate neighbour.
Sorry to hear about Mrs #1. Hope she feels better soon.
