  • Will the Tesla degrade in space?
  • Will the Tesla degrade in space, or will it be preserved in space?

  • What happened to the troll's posts?

I've been patiently waiting for answers to more than one of my responses to posts from whatever his real name is.

Not really expecting answers, but even troll's deserve the benefit of the doubt.

  • I can't believe nobody said anything about what the low temperature will do to the batteries or the rest of the car!!

  • As we have not seen any of the details on the preparation of the car for it's journey,
we can only guess. If you read all the comments below, they got a bit humorous. I would "suspect" that no lead-acid batteries are present nor any large battery pack necessary to drive the car. Just guessing as a weight thing. There may be some batteries that can play the radio or at least send signals to the support team.
I don't know if that launch ignited the interest that was created when Russia launched Sputnik 1, October 4, 1957. Still, I think in the least, it is humorous. Opinions will vary.

  • Last time I checked, a simple farm boy was capable of launching into space. The martians might get pi**ed attacking them with a car.

  • If they had provided an oxygen supply and gasoline with a remote start, would Al complain about air pollution or space pollution?

  • No reason to attack other people for no reason?

"The car is electric, no oxygen or gasoline needed! Just shows what you know!"

    See two posts above.

  • No salt, won't rust. Red paint might sun fade. Seats may fade. Tires may become checked.

  • Re: Will the Tesla degrade in space?
  • I am guessing that the sun damage would be the worst of it. I am guessing they let the air out of the tires since the lack of air pressure in space would make the tires expand. I am amazed how clear the pictures are, I just have this slight feeling that it is a hoax. But I think it is still funny either way.

  • Re: Will the Tesla degrade in space?
  • Well, we were just joking around about the Tesla going into space. We were cracking jokes about gas mileage and such, because we know it is an electric car, and we know, or think we know, that it is now in space. So now we know it isn't running with or without gas, it may have a chance of running electrically, but either way it is now getting a trillion miles per gallon, because it is not burning any gas. But, it sure burnt a bunch of rocket fuel getting up there!!!
So we were joking around, then you jumped in with a bunch of negative vibes like everyone else is stupid compared to you. So you act like a troll, you quack like a troll, so weather or not you have a tractor, you sir, seem to be a troll...

  • Then, there was the episode of Star Trek Voyager where they found the '36 Ford pickup floating around for hundreds of years in the Delta quadrant. They brought it into the cargo bay and it started right up! Didn't even need a new battery or fresh gas!
