Dear neighbour to the side of my property. Part of your fence fell down, seems a top branch of a maple tree hit it, not long after a senior with a chain saw attacked it.

While studying the damage I found a roll of green chain link fencing, buried under the greenery and hidden from view of all neighbours. Four in total share this common property junction. I recall that the previous owner to the side, had given the roll to me. Instant fixing material for the fence, which was getting old and rotten, and would have survived if in good condition.

Gonna get the pros to drop the big one close to the property line.

One thing I have learned over the years is that trees do not always fall where you want them to fall. In fact they often fall right where you don't want them to fall. I watched a good friend of mine drop one right on his river house back porch while his wife was sitting there.
He had even wrapped a rope around the tree and was pulling on it with his 601 tractor.
Some how the way the rope was wrapped made the tree twist and fall exactly 90 degrees from where it was intended. Hit the porch dead center and broke 4 rafters. Scared his wife half to death.
I showed up about 30 seconds before it all happened.
The only thing we could do was laugh...

Got BLM on two sides and a tree growing corporation on the other two sides. Mine is the only fence and that only covers the top 8 acres or so. Closest human to me is about 1/4 mile off. Next one is 1/2 mile from me. Them other fellers is what got nayburs.
