  • From this to this !
  • The house is now GONE (Well, moved) All the wood is out back waiting to be cut up into firewood.
Next is to knock the foundation in then cover with dirt/top soil.
I'm getting pretty burned out over this deal, been over a year since the fire, Had enough, looking forward to the end.

Oh sure.. Setting millions of mouse traps through the years, watching and feeling window curtains moving from drafty windows and walls, paying outrageous heating bills............. Ya, sure will miss all that !

We have taken "Miles" of videos and pictures the past 30 years, We were looking through some of the pics last week ! Wow, where do the years go?, I remember holding, feeding changing diapers on all our 4 boys.....Now? the lightest of our 4 boys is 275lbs. and the biggest is son #3, Danny who's 6'2" and over 300lbs. I grew up with mouse traps in a drafty old farm house with only a coal furnace and one central heat register in the dining room.

Our first house (moved it 8 miles) was a mouse nest, too. We did have natural gas heat but the A/C was a 10,000 btu window unit. We spent 17 years remodeling and adding onto it. Still had mice.

Our current house: we built it in 1985. Sealed, no mice. Hi effeciency heat but still had a window A/C for a few years. Now we have a central A/C. Still no mice. Our last combined monthly Gas/eletric bill was $83. Still no mice in our 33rd year.
    Hang in there.

  • Almost, still have to dig from the new house to my barn for power and water and have some other minor chores before putting her up for sale.
This backhoe was a life saver !
