  • Shed moving part 2.
  • Bought a chain cumalong. Did not trust the cable unit. Removed much stuff from shed. Have a C section of steel bolted to the two large log skids. Connected chains and cumalong to a large tree and cranked. The shed moved. Jacked up long skid logs and put rollers under. Shed moved with less effort. Put a large roller log under skids, and it moved easier again. I need to turn the shed just under 180 degrees. When the large roller log gets more centered I will do the big turn.
The shed needs to go down a slide grade to get on more level ground. When it gets there and the turn is complete, I think Herb 9N can push it in to the new place.
So far no seniors have been injured.

  • If you angle your roller logs you will be able to steer somewhat. If you angle the right side of the roller forward and pull straight ahead you should see the shed turn to the left. The opposite is also true.

I just moved a 24X36 house on pipe rollers. I did not have as far to go as you.

  • Yes that worked. Shed has been moved and is now level in its new place.
