  • I can't sit down any more.
  • It's -32 degrees with a wind chill of -53 degrees here in Hinckley MN . . . I just froze my a$$ off! It's the coldest I can remember in my 75 years!

  • I cannot imagine -32 degrees.
It was -1 here in VA last year and that was the coldest I remember here.
Went skiing in Vermont years ago and it was -10. Froze your face.
    Heep warm...

  • We are just above freezing on the wet coast. Humidity is 99% so if you walk with your mouth open, you can get a drink. Looks like arctic air is going down the middle, East of the Rockies, which means it will miss us be a few hundred miles.
I was over on the frozen tundra last week. Glad I am back. There are four mountain ranges between the coast and Edmonton AB.
Hope you folks can stay warm enough.

  • Up to -8 here in SE Mich as of 9:30am. Governor has declared a state of emergency so I did not go to McD for coffee at 6am.
Baby sister (65), in Texas, called last night about cold temps here and that I should not go out. She was complaining about 45 degrees while driving home from work. She does not remember the mid-fifties when our father and I were outside moving snow in a blizzard and then cold temps around zero or below. She has lived in Texas since she was 21.

  • Here in Des Moines at 8 AM we are at -20. I did not catch the wind chill but it is nasty!

I was born in Henry County, Iowa (SE Iowa) and do remember -20's in my youth. But that was over 80 years ago.

    It is chilly!
