  • 50 MPH winds & snow
  • All the schools are closed.
We have to move the schools.
Put them next to Walmart and the malls.
It's not to bad for the kids to go there.

  • 54 in Sacramento with 3 days of rain on the way. Supposed to be a gully washer.

  • I was out of power for 14 hours as were 19000 of my neighbors. The foot of snow that came with it was a real bitch. (Wis)

  • We have wind warnings here. It is quiet, about 33F and clear skies. Another nice day. Should warm up enough to ride around the Island later.

  • We are in Texas visiting. My niece and her family were here to visit their parents and had to drive back to Wisconsin in that wind. They were pulling a 12' U-haul with household belongings that they had stored in Denver before moving. They said they saw 2 semi trucks on their sides as a result of the winds. A stretch of highway that would normally take 5 hours to drive took them 10 hours.

  • Welcome back to Texas John - beginning tomorrow, the weather prognosticators have rain in the forecast (and for most of the week), but at least it's getting warmer each passing day and there's no white fluffy cold stuff on the ground to deal with. Here in the greater Houston area today it's somewhat overcast, but it's dry. Temp on the back porch thermometer reads 61 at present.

  • Thank you. We were in Bastrop, today, visiting my nephew and his wife. We just got back to New Brunfels a bit ago. Our flight home is tomorrow. Home is still home where ever it might be. "There's no place like home."

  • Except for the absence of snow John and freezing temps, you'll probably be just as well at home as I see the upcoming forecast for south Texas next week will have us back down in the 40's and possibly in the 30's all week long - and here we thought winter was over, ha!

  • I took my flag down because of the high wind warnings. Other than that its just another day in sunny Michigan.
