  • The heater quit.
  • My cheap made in China diesel heater was working fine, until it did not. Fuel pump not clicking, which it does when pumping. Took it off and checked it, and it works. Checked volts to it when installed, and it gets volts. Getting error codes that do not make sense. Just as well it is getting warmer, and I have other heat sources.
Who will be the first to say @#$%^* ?

  • You got what you paid for and helped keep Chinese workers busy making garbage products. Congratulations.

10-15-20 years ago NPR did a deal where the put a challenge to a couple of reporters, They were instructed to buy "Made in a America" for one year, After 2 months they stopped drinking coffee- the coffee maker crapped out and they couldn't find a new that was made in the USA !

  • We can only perspire to be that great. Sometimes those that knoweth the least, sayeth the most.
Not long ago I was in search of a coffee maker, not made in Canada. No luck.
I did however give two older more complex coffee makers to the local recycling depo. They can sell the for $5 each, which helps the recycling depo, and two families that can not afford to buy new.

Also hard to find a small heater made in Canada or the US. Clothing can come from non China places. I remember when all my shoes were British. Could not afford Italian. China seems to have most of the shoe market too. I think it will slowly change. I wonder if our foreign trade adviser has anything to say about Bangladesh, Taiwan and other places.

  • Edit
  • Should have said, in search of a coffee maker made in Canada or US, or anywhere except China.

BTW. The 22 1/2 foot sail boat in my drive, was made in Arlington WA. Canadian company with a plant in WA and NC. My boat is not as well made as the boats from Dorion Quebec.

  • sounds the same as my JD
  • That's just like my JD mower. Pump won't run but has voltage. Turn the key off and on, bang on the pump, nothing. Then for no apparent reason it starts and keeps running.

Take it off and apply 12 volts and it runs fine.

I gave up and bought a new pump from Rock Auto

  • Does your John Deere pump have a fuel shut off solenoid on the bottom of the carburetor ? My John Deere did and I unscrewed it from the bowl cut the end off it put it back together run fine now.
