  • 1950 Ford F-1 Pick- up
  • Hello everyone, anyone have knowledge of a 1950 Ford F-1 pick-up ??? This one is a pretty nice and clean restoration. It has a 302 automatic which I don't think is original can't remember the mileage. Things to look at, things to ask. Asking 14,000, too high I don't know??? I know, not a lot of info, just thought someone may have knowledge on this truck. Anything will help. Thanks guys.....

  • Thanks for the reply guys, much appreciated. I guess I will walk cautiously. Maybe offer him a lot lower then asking price. It is truly a clean vehicle. It came from Arizona, no rust in the normal nooks and crannies. Thanks again.... Tom...

  • Picture? I have one - - a hot rod with a 302 and lots of tricky stuff. Would not sell it for $35,000.

  • Cut that price in half, and then take 25% off. It's a cobbled up mess.

  • The 302 was not introduced until 1968 so it cannot possibly be original in a 1950 truck. I doubt the automatic was an option either. No way I can tell what the truck is from your description but that's a lot of money so be wary, ask lots of questions and give someone a hundred bucks to evaluate it for you if necessary.

  • Re: 1950 Ford F-1 Pick- up/ More info
  • Talked to the owner, small oil leak on valve cover, speedometer/odometer doesn't work gas gauge doesn't work, front directional are missing, just holes. Needs some electrical work. So, $14,000 may be a little steep??? Thanks Tom....

  • I passed on one a few years ago for $10,000. Nice restoration with a V8 flat head.

  • The flat head would get my attention. That 302 is NOT a restoration.
    Restored means original, period.
You might have a re-manufactured. Not restored.
I would be looking for all the hidden rust areas. Found them? Not restored.
Now it is down to rebuilt.
    Wanna go lower?
    Oil leaks, etc?
Now it is a used truck.
    OLD used truck.
How much will you pay for a problem?
