  • I've bought quite a few online, always shipped to the same local FFL. He charges me $20.

  • I found the Gunbroker.com site - it has local FFL’s shown with their prices which is cool. Do they do the paperwork? The fees here are between $10 and $40.

  • I charge $20 and any additional guns are $5 apiece. I have heard of $200 fees from CA dealers.

Gunbroker.com has a place where you can enter a zip code and get prices for dealers local to that zip code.

  • Does who do what paperwork? Gunbroker hosts the auction, the selling dealer does the transfer to your designated ship to dealer, you do the 4473. Your dealer and the selling dealer both keep A&D books. Your dealer stores the 4473. Gunbroker bills the selling dealer.

  • $20 seems more than reasonable. I may have to shop around depending on what the big dealers fee is.

  • It cost me $100 last year, but have now found another that charges $50, I no longer patronize the former store!

  • Local FFL charges anywhere from $35 to $50. I tell the sell I'll match the asking price if they pay all shipping and fees. Some times it works, some times it don't. I buy often from the Belcher Auction site, they have been good to me (some times no fees at all).
