  • Lawn mower baldes
  • Is it possible to sharpen tungsten carbide blades?

I would imagine you have to use a diamond stone.
    Where would you get one?

  • You can read your owners manual and see what they say, or, can always just call the dealer you bought the mower from or from your local mower shop and ask them and I don't mean TSC...

  • It's not as if the blades are 100% tungsten carbide. Regular mild steel blades are just infused/coated with tungsten carbide to improve their durability. There's nothing complicated about sharpening them on a bench grinder.

Solid tungsten carbide is extremely brittle and would shatter the first time it hit a rock.

  • HiYa David-

I think this was discussed a while ago, maybe over on the 'other board' as I found no results for the NTC archives.

  • I would use a common bench grinder at a 20 degree angle.
