  • Hayride time!
  • My son, Rick, is hosting THE annual hayride tonight. Potluck food, bonfire, favorite beverages, except him. He is the designated driver. Country dirt roads only.
We built a special wagon 5 years ago and he wired lights to a battery under the wagon. Corner markers and a flasher plus an SMV sign. His NAA Jubilee handles it very well.
Meantime, a friend is hosting a hayride at 2pm today to a local orchard for cider and donuts. Such a crowded social calendar. YAHOO!

  • That sounds like too much fun! I haven't been on a hayride in years. Living in the city definitely has nothing to compare.

  • My father pulled a hayride for my 8th grade class. I did the same for my kids when they were in junior high school. Then we started pulling family, friends and neighbors.
My son has taken over the annual hayride and does a fabulous job. It is a lot of work but we have a LOT of fun.
The last time I hosted I had two tractors and wagons. We had about 80 people.
