  • so i spend all of friday evening and saturday afternoon pulling the bed off my sons truck to replace the fuel pump and sending unit. everything went well ran the truck no issues. he does not go out at all on sunday but monday morning he heads to school and bam looses a head gasket. great. now do we fix it or replace the engine.

  • How many miles and year of truck is good question.
    Either way, make sure next stat has a piddle valve in it.

  • I'll second the Blue Devil product. It's expensive, but worth the risk. Just follow the directions to the letter. I had to use it about 5000 miles ago and things are still going great. My other choice was a rebuild or a new engine, neither of which is in the budget. 250,000 miles on the truck, so anything is worth a try.
