A few days ago I found Facetime for Windows was now available.

I clicked on the site to read the information but did not proceed with the download.

Obviously I clicked on something wrong!

Yesterday and today, anytime I opened Chrome a second tab opens titled

Facetime Windows Download

I need information on how to get rid of this permanently!

Delete a file

In the corner of your screen, select the Launcher. Up arrow .
Open Files .
Select the file or folder you want to delete. Note: You can delete files in the Downloads folder, but deleting a file from your Downloads folder is permanent.
Select Delete. Delete.

I'm not using Chromebook but your instructions still put me on the path of finding the problem!

It had attached an extension! I removed that and solved the problem.
