Slowing down
I gpt out and mowed about 1/4 of the yard. It's 84 now and rising. It's raining sweat off my face, so I think about 3 or 4 more 20 minute trips may get the job done. 80 degrees and 80 years old don't go well together.

Re: Slowing down
When it gets hot and dry on my Island, we have a mowing ban on gas powered mowers. We start with a gas powered mowing before noon, then move to all day. Meanwhile if a I find a riding mower cheap, I might buy it. I half an acre these days. Sold the five foot mower years ago, but I still have Herb 9N. i will be 79 next week.

Re: Slowing down
Mowed mine yesterday.....70 degrees and cloudy....nice! (Was above 100 the 3 days before) I also cheat and use a rider. At 82 I can still do a good days work.....even if it does take all week.

Re: Slowing down
I agree with you but...sometimes you just have to suck it up because the alternative is even worse. Grass keeps growing. I mowed yesterday. I wanted to mow in the morning but had an eye exam appointment and dilated eyes. So, 7pm, 90 degrees, I mowed until 9pm. I'm only 82.
