Davis Sisters
So far I have not gotten any interest by posting vintage music here in the Off Topics forum but will try once again. Anyone ever heard of the Davis Sisters. They were from Northern KY, just south of Cincinnati, OH. Betty Jack Davis was the real talent, rather than Skeeter, whose real name was Penick before she changed it. Tragically, Betty Jack was killed in a car wreck early in 1953. I love the vintage photos of the era in the video. Enjoy.

Re: Davis Sisters
Dean, don't stop. Honestly, I do listen to most of your music posts but not all the time. My computer time is limited and I have many interests. That said, know that I have engaged in numerous forms of music in my life: vocally in chorus, church choir, men's glee club, SPEBSQSA: instrumental (trumpet) and just listening. I have attended musical productions and encouraged our kids and grandkids to be involved in music both instrumental and vocal. Our oldest son and his wife have followed a group called, The Mummies. One one grandson plays keyboard and saxophone with a band called Wesley and the Crushers. When I was an early teenager working in the barn on a car or tractor, WJR Radio, Detroit, had a program called, "Patterns in Music" hosted be Karl Haas. One of his programs featured Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Still my favorite on a cathedral organ.

Re: Davis Sisters
Thank you Dean. Some of the songs I recognize and some predate me, but the wife and I enjoy them.

Re: Davis Sisters
Thanks, Frank. I'm glad that you and yours enjoy my selections. I was planning to stop posting due to lack of response but will continue. I posted musical selections in the YT OT forum for several years until I was banned for posting accurate, non-political topics that the moderators did not like. FWIW, several of the YT followers commented that they enjoyed my musical posts. I'm a big fan of 50s and (mostly pre-Beatles) 60s music, both popular and country. Many of my 50s selections also predate me but I discovered them by listening to "oldies' in the past or on Youtube more recently. I'm certainly not a fan of any modern music. Hope you continue to enjoy my occasional posts.
