  • Public Opinion???
  • Public opinion is an amazing thing. It tells us everything and nothing at all at the very same time.
How will we ever know who's opinion is right and who's opinion is wrong? After all public opinion had Billery elected in a land slide...
If you ask the national news media public opinion is all that counts. If 51% believe something then it must be true. Kind of reminds me of chicken little or lemmings...

50% of my grand parents believed that the moon landing was a hoax. All done in a studio made to look like the moon. The other 50% tracked sputnik from their house and could show you it pass thru a telescope.

Polls are an amazing thing As well. They always depend on who you ask. Was it three people or 3 million? Were they college professors or iron workers. I always thought that this was how you skew the polls, it is all about who you ask.

Some times I need to take projects before the planning commission or the local board of supervisors in order to get approval to build something. Sometimes neighborhood groups show up for or against any given project. They normally say things like "the Fan districk association voted unanumusly to deny this approval". I have learned to ask how many people were at the meeting and made up this unanums vote. There is usually a pause at this point where the representative says something like aaaaa 3. Then I make them repeat it by saying, you mean 3 people are all who showed up to vote on this? That leads me to believe that this issue was not very important to your group, or more would have showed up to vote.

The big question is who decides on who gets asked the question?? You can find 5 people for or 5 against most any subject. Who you ask will usually decide the outcome.
So Dean makes a good point about about how bad the big "0" left things and I agree.
But what amazes me are the young over educated liberals that constantly want to tell me how good a job he did, not to mention our illustrious national media...
I will bet you if we take a poll here the opinion will be that the big "0" did a lousy job and got some good folks killed, but how do we ever convince the liberal 49-1/2%...

    p,,,lp.k,
