A lady came by today. She was about 50 and had the manner of a social worker. She asked if I knew where a particular address was on my street. I told her the numbers were a bit confusing, and were not consistent. She did not tell me who she was looking for, which did not help. So I started with the end house in the direction she needed. I said if you are looking for an elderly Yankee couple who are here in the warmer months, nope. A family with three kids and the parents have a restaurant up Island, nope. A single guy with two kids who rents, nope.
By then she clued in and said " A white lady and a black guy " So I pointed out their house for her. She revealed the guy is from Haiti, something I did not know.
If she had of asked up front, it would have saved a lot of time. But she was being PC and polite.
