Anthem is pulling out of 16 of 19 regions in the state, including Riverside County.

The move will force thousands to change health care plans during open enrollment later this year.

Local congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz said the decision is the result of deliberate attempts by the Trump administration to undermine and destabilize the Affordable Care Act. "This is the reason why I introduced the Marketplace Certainty Act, which will bring stability to the market, help prevent insurers from leaving the exchange, and keep premiums from sky rocketing," Ruiz said.

If you need to shop for a new health care plan, you can reach out to Covered California online or by calling (800) 300-1506.

You can also reach Congressman Ruiz's desert office at 760-424-8888.

LOL..........so this clown is going to prevent insurers from leaving the exchange???? Yeahhhhhh....I wanna see that happen....the only way that will happen is to further tax poor Californians to prop up the insurance companies.

Ronnie said it best: "Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."
