  • Media Bias
  • I know that this will come as a shock to most of you folks, but media bias against anything and everything not uber leftist continues unabated. Gasp!

This is, of course, long term good news, as the credibility and audience of the so-called "mainstream media" continues to collapse.

    Gotta love it.

  • Anyone who thinks that these protests are organized and or executed by a bunch of high schoolers is extremely naive. Just like the protests in Egypt back in the Arab Spring Days...

  • Bingo, Steve.

The kids are just useful idiots, used by others as Stalin used his useful idiots for similar purposes.

  • Re: Media Bias
  • Nobody ever said it was all school kids. The kid's stated purpose in organizing and participating in the marches was to galvanize and enlist support from people that are already old enough to vote. Based on that report I would say they succeeded.

  • Re: Media Bias
  • Agreed.

I do not think that anybody ever said that it was "all" school kids.

That said, did you or anyone else see any so-called "mainstream media" images participants or so-called "organizers" (we all know that the "kids" were/are not the organizers) showing anything but "kids?"

    Neither did I.

Take off your political blinders and look. I saw LOTS of main stream coverage FOCUSING on the older participants - parents, siblings and friends. That main stream reporting was making the exact same point I just did.

The "children" launched this growing groundswell of activism so regardless of who has joined forces with them I consider them the "organizers" of the current movement. They are smart, energetic, very motivated, and adept at using social AND mainstream media. Don't expect them or their supporters to fade away any time soon.

  • Re: Media Bias
  • I did not, though I admit that I stopped watching television news years ago.

Correction: "images participants" intended to be "images of participants...."

  • Unrehearsed statement about gun control, Gov. Bevin, Kentucky. Best response that I have ever heard to stupid people.

Governor Bevin is one of the few bright spots in government.
