  • Whodunnit?
  • So the hunt is on for the anonymous NY Times op-ed creator in the administration. Well I think I know who it is as well as some others who have come to the same conclusion. Mike Pence has to be the guy. There was no real reason for anyone inside the White House to write this piece unless they want to damage the president. The timing is critical since this point about chaos and lack of control has just been highlighted in Woodward's book, as well as testified to by several other individuals in the administration lately. The 25th amendment removal has been talked about and with the added push from this opinion piece it gets more exposure and ups the anti.

Who gains and who looses? The only person who gains and really has little to lose is Mike Pence. For Mike being the Vice President he cannot get fired. He is not particularly trusted by DT since he was found out secretly talking to possible backers for a 2020 presidential challenge, Groveling Mike is the pet nickname some individuals report that Trump uses at times. Also Mike doesn't have a really great future-he may get dumped for 2020 or Don may lose if he goes again and Mike was not popular in Indiana so a better gig there is not in the cards. On the other hand if enough stirring of issues can cause a 25th amendment removal of the President then Mike gets to sit in the oval office soon and he is perfectly set for 2020.

It really is in Mike's best interest to throw the Donster under the bus now while the opportunity presents itself. Besides the term "lodestone" appearing in the piece is known to be a favorite of Mike's. My money's on Pence as the guy-it all adds up.

  • Mike Pence would not do that.

    Trust me.

  • Interesting theory, but I don't think so. My take is that someone at the NYT wrote it all by themselves. I doubt it will be outed, not before the elections anyway.

This is just another story invented in a long series of "things" to keep Trump and his apparent lack of credibility in question. As soon as this kinda dies down, and Woodward's book is touted about for a week or so, there will be something else, plain and simple.

It's not the actual crime that's so bad, it's the "allegation" of the crime that hurts. Over and over and over. That is all they have. With the economy, and the other markers that the main stream media will not report on, it's really kind of easy pickin's.

I am hoping for a little surprise for all the naysayers come November.

  • Yeah, or someone at Woodward's publishing company as a marketing scheme...

  • Bingo, Joe.

The NYT staff is certainly not above doing such.

  • Re: Whodunnit?
  • Nope, not buying it. On yesterday's FOX NEWS SUNDAY, Chris Wallace asked the VP point blank if all the top cabinet members should take a lie detector test, and then if he, Mike Pence would take a lie detector test and Vice President Pence said, "...in a heartbeat". I'd be looking at someone in the Justice Department.

  • No Tim, Pence did it. No question.

  • Well, old buddy, as I always said in my manufacturing days, show me the data. You can't just repeat some liberal contrived crap you heard on ZNN, Wolf, Anderson, or The View.

  • Re: Whodunnit?
  • No liberal contrivances here, just follow the who gains-who loses trail. No one else has as much to gain from a foreshortened term for DT. Pence told Chris Wallace (who I consider a good, honest journalist) that he would be fine with a lie detector screening of everyone in the White House, but he clearly knows no such procedure will take place because it would prove a further major embarrassment to activate such a policy. Imagine the firestorm of negative commentary it would raise as well as making the President look as if he had no control of his staff that would set off. Not going to happen. No, I think Mike has his eye on the Oval Office and wants it sooner than later and, as I maintained earlier, he really does not have a lot to lose given his existing future prospects.

That's what Harry Bosch and Lucas Davenport would conclude also.

  • I just finished a Harry Bosch book a couple of weeks ago, he's working the San Fernando PD now.

I'm now at the 10th of the 11 books comprising the Horatio Hornblower series. Quite a lesson on the British Navy in the Napoleonic wars.

  • Re: Whodunnit?
  • Certainly, you cannot be basing your theory solely on the notion that Mike Pence might have something to gain if Trump were removed???

Do you think that any/all former VPs, any of whom might have had something to gain if the current sitting POTUS had been removed, would have sabotaged the sitting POTUS???

    This is simply not believable.

  • Thank God! How did that 'Great Society" thingy work out? Oh, yeah, put a nation on welfare and other gubment dependent programs of which only now we/President Trump are finally doing something about.

  • Re: Whodunnit?
  • Whoever wrote the piece, will get outed, probably before the end of the year. When that happens whoever it is, will have no future political career, unless they switch sides. That would doom Mike Pence. Going to be interesting what others think. Just like the November elections will be interesting.

Up here our spender in chief, is considering a snap election, to get a mandate for trade agreements, and pipeline construction.

Could not be a Michael ( who is like the lord ) anyway.

    Island Mike. Michael.
